Gross & Welch Law Firm is pleased to announce Michael W. Pirtle has joined the firm as a Director. Mr. Pirtle has nearly 30 years of experience in civil litigation and insurance defense. He also brings a new area of expertise in mediation to Gross & Welch. Mr. Pirtle earned his law degree from University of Nebraska College of Law in 1978, and his B.A. in Business Administration from Midland Lutheran College in 1975.






Gross & Welch Law Firm is proud to announce that Thomas A. Grennan has become a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Grennan is a 1978 graduate of the Creighton University School of Law.  He has been a partner with the firm of Gross & Welch for 20 years.  He has served the Omaha Bar Association as Secretary, Treasurer and Editor of the Omaha Bar Newsletter.

Gross & Welch was founded in 1927 and is composed of 23 attorneys specializing in various areas to meet the needs of our clients.

Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada.  Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experience tiral lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional career have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.

Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any State of Province.  There are currently approximately 5,500 members in the United States and Canada, including Acting Fellow, Ameritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and Honorary Fellows.

The College strives to improve and elevate standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession.  Qualified lawyers are called to Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice.  They are carefully selected from among those who customarily represent Plaintiffs in civil cases and those who customarily represent defendants, those who prosecute accused of crime and those who defend them.
